Empower We: Beloved, Welcome Home

ree

After all these wars have warred inside and outside of us:

Owning the soul of our own riches,

Our hearts melted wax, bird love songs,

When we finally recognize

the wealth of all of each other,

Highlighting the beauty of ancient wisdoms

When we listen to understand more than we listen to speak,

When we take freedom to find all the words

Explaining all hurt and pressure of the past and present pain,

Examine the entire society of exhausted trauma,

When we refuse to return to normal

knowing normal was never just

equality and freedom are not knickknacks

to be placed on a shelf,

When we treat others how they deserve

 Instead of how we feel,

Be empowered when we empower we,

No longer confusing consequence with punishment

No longer confusing shame and accountability

Relating to relationships as whole beings:

Physical, intellectual, emotional and spirit,

Refurbish our treatment of the earth

Respect the burial mounds are NOT playgrounds

Notice the tree turned gymnast, flipping twisting for a taste of the sun,

Shining on the others in front,

Let us always remember:

The difference between access and ability,

Let us always choose morality over comfort:

When then, we may finally flourish as fully human.

Our skin finally able to forgive

What our pride could never speak.

Then, justice can hold you,

then you can really want WE, belovedly

I love the motivational speech of it all. I worry that we get bogged down in rants and riotous talk sometimes and forget to slow down enough to listen. "exhausted trauma" is the subject of many of my meditations lately.
